Slowly but surely, Toronto’s very own soft-core R&B/hip-hop crooner, Drake has hinted at details regarding his upcoming album, “Nothing Was The Same.”
Recently, Drake cryptically announced via Twitter that he will collaborate with Jhene Aiko on a “momentous” track for the third studio album. The pair previously recorded a song called “July” together back in 2010. Signed to Def Jam Records, Aiko has also worked with Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, and Big Sean.
In addition to Aiko, the rapper has also been in the studio with Anthony Hamilton, an R&B singer-songwriter and producer. A few months ago, Drake released “Girls Love Beyonce,” which includes James Fauntleroy on the hook.
With his single “Started From The Bottom” sitting at No. 7 on the charts, and so much hype surrounding his fourth annual OVO Fest in August, this information could not have been revealed at a better time.
Perhaps after the fake “Nothing Was The Same” track list went viral on Memorial Day, the rapper decided to take matters into his own hands and shut down illegitimate rumors. After all, he has a reputation to uphold, starting from the bottom, and rising to fame and fortune in the luxurious lane.
Looks like Drizzy doesn’t need the crew to take care of his affairs anymore. Thank him later.
