After three years of inactivity, Hellogoodbye will return with a third full-length album called “Everything is Debatable.” Recently, Kline cheerfully chirped on Twitter that the band finished tracking the LP in the studio.
Hellogoodbye signed to Old Friends Records in late 2012. With comeback season on the cusp of full bloom, the band also toured this past spring.
Fronted by Forrest Kline, the four-piece power pop band gained popularity after their single “Here (Into Your Arms)” became the go-to request at every middle school dance back in 2006. (It’s impossible to forget one’s first dance to auto-tune at such a young age.) Their debut album, “Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!” has been their most successful album to date.
In 2010, Hellogoodbye’s sophomore album “Would It Kill You?” ranked as No. 22 on the Top Rock Albums charts. In 2011, the album reached No. 26 in the Independent Albums category.
The release date of “Everything is Debatable” has yet to be confirmed, though fans should keep their eyes open for more tweet updates from the Golden State native.
